Previously, KPU Chair Arief Budiman had stated that early this morning, the KPU would determine the results of the recapitulation of the national vote count for the presidential election, legislative elections and regional representative councils.

"What we are doing tonight is the determination of the results of the vote counting recapitulation. I think the people are also waiting for this recapitulation to be immediately determined," Arief told the media.

Arief continued, after the determination of this recapitulation, the KPU would provide an opportunity for parties who did not agree or would like to submit an election dispute to the Constitutional Court (MK). According to existing rules, said Arief, the KPU will give 3x24 hours of time after the determination of the recapitulation results.

According to Arief, if there are no parties submitting electoral disputes to the Constitutional Court, then on the following three days, or on May 27, 2019, the KPU can determine the chosen candidate pair in the presidential election. In addition, Arief also denied this determination to avoid the action that will be held on May 22, 2019.
